A large double birthday cake was presented to the engine cut by David Shepherd and Ian Crowder on Platform one at Toddington. An N Gauge model of the 9F Locomotive made by Dapol was placed on the running plate of the Standard Gauge Black Prince and ran up and down a length of track which caused immidiate interest to those who attended. This is laying ballast in aid of the re-doubling of the Cotswold Line. The line is currently shut for 6 weeks with a possession between Evesham and Moreton in Marsh. The train is seen crawling towards Evesham on the early evening of 7 August 09. I then stopped off at Ashchurch on the way home from work and captured a Cross Country HST and Freightliner 66527 on a coal train. I couldn't get over the amount of class 60's there were lined up. Then we decided to visit Shackerstone briefly to look at the museum on the station. It took over an hour to find the place as the signs weren't brilliant - we arrived to find that it was Thomas The Tank weekend and the platform full of screeming kids...
